The Woman Who Inspired It All
Celia Wilson was born in segregated Sylacauga, Alabama. Being raised by Celia notably formed Debra’s understanding of race and racism. Through her nonjudgmental spirit in the face of extreme adversity, Celia taught Debra open-mindedness and what forgiveness truly is. Celia bears unconditional love and appreciation for all humans, and has an intrinsic desire for everyone, and particularly the BIPOC community, to reach their fullest potentials and blossom into their greatest selves.
